Cleaning & maintenance advice
The bathroom is used intensively every day, so regular cleaning is essential. To enjoy your Hotbath taps for many years, it’s important to follow the advice below carefully:
1. Dry with a soft cloth
After each use, dry the taps thoroughly with a soft towel or cloth. This prevents water spots and limescale build-up, helping to preserve the tap’s shine.
2. Remove limescale from the nozzles
Limescale can build up in the tap nozzles. Clean them regularly to maintain optimal water flow and extend the lifespan of your tap. Simply rub the nozzles with your hand (or a washcloth) while showering.
3. Be careful with sharp objects
Do not use sharp or abrasive tools to clean your taps. These can damage the surface and cause scratches. We recommend avoiding scouring pads, abrasive cleaners and microfibre cloths. Also take care with jewellery when cleaning.

Cleaning advice using bathroom cleaner
For visible limescale deposits, use the Hotbath bathroom cleaner. Always apply the Hotbath spray using a soft cloth or sponge — never directly onto the tap. Leave it on for no longer than 1–2 minutes. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly to remove any cleaner residue and always dry the tap afterwards. The bathroom cleaner is only necessary for visible limescale; for regular cleaning, a damp cloth is sufficient.
To prevent damage or complaints during use or cleaning, we recommend following our care advice carefully. Damage caused by improper use or cleaning is not covered by our warranty.
The bathroom cleaner applies to the following finishes:
- Stainless Steel 316 (IX)
- Chrome (CR)
- Brushed Nickel (GN)
- Matt White (WH)
- Aged Iron (AI)
- Tuscan Bronze (TB)
- All PVD-coated finishes.
! Cleaning advice for Living Colour finishes !
Living Colour finishes have no surface protection and naturally develop a patina over time. These taps must not be cleaned with bathroom cleaner — only wipe them with a damp cloth.
Living Colour finishes: Brushed Brass (BB) and Aged Brass (AB).
