Repair under warranty
For Hotbath products, a warranty period of 60 (sixty) months applies, with the exception of electronic components of products, for which the warranty period is 24 (twenty-four) months. In the event of a valid warranty claim, repairs are generally carried out free of charge. Hotbath provides warranty coverage in accordance with the Hotbath Warranty Conditions, which can be consulted here.
Repair outside warranty
For the repair of products outside the warranty period, travel costs, labour costs and any material costs will be charged to the customer. A repair is considered outside warranty when a defect occurs after the relevant warranty period has expired, or when no valid warranty claim can be made in accordance with article 4 of the Warranty Conditions.

A service visit by a technician is available only within the Netherlands, excluding the Wadden Islands.
If the customer cancels the repair less than 24 hours in advance, does not agree with the (revised) cost estimate in accordance with article 11 of the Service Conditions, or rejects a repair request in accordance with article 8 of the Service Conditions, Hotbath will only charge travel expenses.
Warranty Conditions
Definitions
- Manufacturing defects: defects in the products determined by Hotbath and/or its suppliers.
- Hotbath: Hot Bath B.V., registered under number 27 28 30 30 with the Chamber of Commerce in The Hague.
- Products: all Hotbath products sold in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Applicability
Hotbath provides warranty on its products in accordance with these warranty conditions.
Services performed by Hotbath under these warranty conditions are subject to the Service Conditions, which can be consulted here.
Warranty period
The warranty period for Hotbath products is 60 (sixty) months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified.
An exception applies to electronic components of products, for which the warranty period is 24 (twenty-four) months.
Warranty scheme
All defects in products demonstrably caused by a manufacturing defect and occurring within the warranty period specified in article 3 will be repaired by Hotbath free of charge, subject to the following conditions and provided that defects are reported to Hotbath without delay after discovery (the “Warranty”).
A. The repair of defects will be carried out so that, at Hotbath’s discretion, defective parts are repaired or replaced with new parts. If repair or replacement is not possible, Hotbath will refund the actual amount paid for the product. When determining whether a product is defective, the technical standards in force on the date of manufacture will be used as a basis.
B. If a defect cannot be resolved by Hotbath within a reasonable period or if repair is unreasonably delayed, Hotbath will, upon request, provide the necessary replacement parts free of charge. If the product is no longer available, it will be replaced by an item of equivalent value. When supplying a replacement product, Hotbath reserves the right to charge a reasonable usage fee for the period the product has already been in use.
C. When a valid warranty claim is made, Hotbath will not charge any costs during the first year after delivery of the product. From the second to the fifth year after delivery, only the travel costs specified on the Website will be charged.
C. Not covered by this warranty:
· Damage caused intentionally.
· Damage resulting from negligence, improper or insufficient maintenance, incorrect use of descaling agents and/or descaling systems, or contact with substances to which the products are not resistant.
· Damage arising from failure to observe installation, assembly, use or maintenance instructions.
· Damage or malfunction caused by chemical or electrochemical effects of water, limescale and/or contamination.
· Damage caused by external influences that negatively affect installation or configuration (e.g. excessive or negative water pressure, water hammer) other than those described in Hotbath’s installation instructions.
· Damage to parts subject to wear, such as filters, non-return valves, rubber seals, sliders and shower hoses.
· Minor deviations that do not materially affect the appearance or functionality of the products, including superficial scratches.
· Any transport damage.
· Products purchased by the end user as showroom models.
D. A warranty claim will lapse:
· If repair or servicing is carried out by persons not authorised by Hotbath;
· If products are fitted with components, extensions or accessories other than original parts.
E. Dismantled and defective parts/products must be returned, postage paid, to Hotbath with an accompanying note, to the address indicated on the Website.
F. Replaced parts become the property of Hotbath.
Making a warranty claim
To make a warranty claim, the customer must provide the original invoice or proof of purchase of the product, clearly showing the date of purchase.
The warranty period referred to in article 3 is not renewed or extended by any repair or parts replacement carried out within the warranty period.
Consumer
For consumers, these warranty conditions do not affect statutory warranty rights, including the right to free repair or replacement.
Service Conditions

- Client: the end user of a product or the Hotbath dealer submitting a service or repair request to Hotbath.

Applicability
These Conditions apply to repairs performed under the Warranty Conditions or outside the warranty period.
Request
The client can submit a service request via the service form on the Website.
After submitting the service form, an automatically generated email confirmation will be sent, including a service request number.
Inspection
Hotbath will assess the received service request and investigate to determine the cause of the malfunction or defect and whether it is covered by warranty.
Hotbath will also verify whether the product has been installed according to the installation instructions and used according to the user instructions.
Based on this assessment, and at Hotbath’s discretion, the service request will be fulfilled by:
- providing telephone advice,
- sending a replacement part, or
- arranging a service technician visit.
If the product is found not to have been installed or used according to the instructions, repairs will be carried out at the client’s expense and risk.
Timing and duration of service visit
If a technician is required, Hotbath will aim to inform the client within two working days of the service request of the scheduled date and time of the technician’s visit.
Service visit by technician
A service visit by a technician is available only within the Netherlands, excluding the Wadden Islands.
If Hotbath cannot determine from the service request whether the product has been correctly installed or used, the technician will assess this on site.
If the product is found not to comply with the installation or usage instructions, the repair will be carried out at the client’s expense and risk.
If, during repair, it appears that the work cannot be completed within the estimated cost or that additional work is required, a revised cost estimate will be prepared in consultation with the client.
Execution
The service request will be carried out under the following conditions:
- Built-in tap components and internal mechanisms must be accessible.
- No drilling or demolition work will be carried out under any circumstances.
Rejection of repair request
If the conditions set out in article 7 cannot be met, the technician will reject the repair request and no work will be performed.
In that case, the travel costs specified on the Website will be charged.
Costs
In the event of a valid warranty claim, repairs are free of charge.
For repairs outside the warranty period, the rates specified on the Website apply.
Payment
Payment is made on site and only by debit card transaction.
Cancellation of repair
If the client cancels the repair less than 24 hours in advance or does not agree with the (revised) cost estimate, Hotbath will charge the travel costs specified on the Website.
Damage and liability
If damage to persons or property is suspected to have been caused by a product, Hotbath must be notified immediately in writing.
The product concerned must be sent to Hotbath for assessment. If sending is not possible because the product is built-in, Hotbath will carry out the inspection on site. The costs of this assessment will be borne by Hotbath.
