When a freestanding bath mixer has a reduced water flow, the cause is often the connection hoses. First check whether the hoses may have been kinked during installation, preventing the water from flowing freely. If this does not solve the issue, it is advisable to replace the connection hoses. This will restore optimal flow and allow the bath mixer to function properly again.
The aerator (the small filter in the spout of the tap) may become partially clogged over time due to limescale or dirt. We therefore recommend maintaining it regularly to prevent further damage to the tap. The aerator can be removed and cleaned to solve or prevent this issue.
The handle of the tap can easily be tightened (again) using an Allen key. Enter the product’s article number in the search bar; the product page provides the installation manual for the respective product.
The cartridge (internal mechanism) most likely needs to be replaced, which can be caused by dirt in the pipes or by limescale. If the tap drips briefly after use, the aerator may be dirty or affected by limescale. In that case, remove the aerator from the spout and clean it thoroughly. Make sure the small filter in the spout is completely clean.

When a cover set does not properly fit the built-in mixer, the cause is often that the built-in part has been installed too deep into the wall. For most Hotbath built-in mixers, special extension sets are available. With an extension set, the cover set can still be mounted correctly. These extension sets are available through our authorized Hotbath dealers.
The thermostat most likely needs to be replaced.
