Actress Kim van Oncen and her husband were looking for a bathroom in their new villa that would bring all their wishes together. “A good friend and interior architect had a similar bathroom with beautiful organic, rounded shapes. We thought it was stunning. And above all, we wanted the bathroom to radiate calm and relaxation.” With that vision in mind, the design journey began.
Aged brass adds a touch of luxury
“My husband and I both work very hard and rarely have time for holidays. Our new home, and especially the bathroom, needed to feel like a place of escape. It’s where we unwind amidst the chaos of our busy lives.” The bathroom exudes calm and relaxation through its minimalist design.

Kim: “We looked at several tap brands, but in Belgium there are a lot of obvious choices. For most things in the house, we wanted to go a bit beyond that. Hotbath offered the exact shade of brass we loved – a perfect combination of beauty and practicality.”

“We chose a freestanding bath – but that only truly shines when paired with a beautiful freestanding tap (Cobber CB076). We also have two washbasins, each with our own tap. It’s very practical in the mornings when we’re getting ready together. Visually, I also love how it looks. And of course, we have a shower with an extra hand shower to rinse the children’s hair or shower them quickly.
